One of my beloved pets

Image
This is my pet dog. Its name is Jenny. Its body color is black and brown. When it comes to Jenny, it's a true friend in my life. Dogs are very fond of humans.  Jenny is like that too. Jenny's favorite food is milk.  In the morning Jenny begs me very excitedly for her breakfast. Jenny is a very little puppy when we get home. But now Jenny has become a big dog. Jenny loves my brother the most in our family. Jenny has a wonderful affection for others at home. I think dogs have a more loving heart than humans. Because Jenny always proves it. Jenny, in the truest sense of the word, is a true friend of mine.

"Kantale Wewa" full of natural beauty

Image
It is believed that the technology of reservoir construction in Sri Lanka was at its peak between the Anuradhapura Kingdom and the Polonnaruwa Kingdom.  It is said that most of the large reservoirs in Ceylon were built during this period.  But other large lakes such as Minneriya Wewa and Kaudulla Wewa belong to the early 3rd century.  Although not as large as those giant lakes, Kantale Lake is a reservoir that could be seen on the way to Trincomalee and was noticed during the colonial period. Kantale has been known as "Gantalawa" since the time of the kings. When the government tried to colonize the Ganges in the early 1950s, a group of original villagers set up camp in the jungle and only a short path from the main camp was built to enter it.  The leader of the group erected a small sign at the top of the road and named it "Gantalawa Camp Road". We are pleased to note that after the 1986 renovations, the capacity of the Kantale Reservoir is greater than that ...

Delightful rain and baby

Image
I remember staring out the window at the rain for hours and dreaming of raindrops falling on a cluster of snail eggs at the foot of a damp banana bush, scattering and cascading down the waterway.  Dumb shell eggs are like shark shells.  It was only after an argument with Grandma that I realized they weren't sharks and compared them and understood the difference.   At that time I was not as tall as a window.  There was also no ban on looking at the rain at any time until it hurt my hands hanging from the window sill.  When hanging from the window of the mother's room, two avocado trees appeared.  Those were the days when heavy rains would fall on avocados and in anticipation of one or more falling to the ground.  If those were the days when mom or grandma would sneak out the middle door and launch a paper boat into the water as a team, those would be the days of victory.  Scientists launching rockets can feel as much ...

Whale Watching

Image
Whale watching is another popular tourist attraction in Sri Lanka. This is a very rare and terrifying activity. But most people love to watch whales. It is popular that as a country it has one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Mirissa and Kalpitiya beaches can be identified as whale watching spots in Sri Lanka.   The whale watching season in Sri Lanka runs from November until Apri l  when the waters around Mirissa are relatively calm. During the rest of the year, it's monsoon season and the waters become too rough for the boats. Whale-watching can be a thrilling experience, an adventure on the water resulting in incredible memories and surprisingly good photos of seabirds, dolphins, and of course the whales. It's an exciting day out: a new perspective, as you watch the coastline recede, and scan the vast horizon for a spout. This is a gift of nature to us and it is our duty to preserve it and preserve it for the future.

The Beauty of Meemure

Image
Not much is known but it is a popular place for relaxation in the urban environment. Meemure is a village with a population of about 400. It is located near the border between Kandy District and Mathale District in the Knuckles Mountain Range. Meemure is one of the most remote villages in Sri Lanka with the only access via a 14 km trail from the town of Loolwatte. Residents of the village depend on several staple crops including pepper, cardamom, paddy and ginger. Many endemic animals can be seen in this country.   The film, which is particularly well-received, has been created here. It is our duty to protect this village which is a haven for tourists from home and abroad.

Rain

Image
Why a full water   More water   Heavy rain when it rained all over the plateau   In the same way everywhere   That's it   The rain will overflow the river   The heaviest place is the overflow   To Galai village   When a barren land   Please be fertile   A country happy total wealth   Drowned Bhairavas   Did not the people of the country grieve?   Sacrifice never to those Bhairahs   Those resources that cannot be taken back   Like a crop of plants caught in a drought   The poorest are the masses   Boil the scent as it rains   Happiness rains down on hearts   Wealth-swallowing savages go away   These are the new rays    of the sun shining on Sri Lanka

The sea is sometimes a storm that strikes anyone big or small. The sea is one of the most popular destinations in the world. Many people love it, and the freedom we feel when we go to the beach, as well as the inspiration that comes from it, cannot be described in words that come to our minds. Sri Lanka is known as the pearl of the Indian Ocean and the island. Due to the coastline around Sri Lanka, our country is full of biodiversity. We must protect the sea, a gift to our country and the world. While this makes our lives beautiful, it also helps to protect our gut. It is the responsibility of each and every one of us to carry forward the unique gift of nature.

Nine arch bridge

Image
This is a place where everyone loves to take pictures. The Nine Arch Bridge, also known as the 'Bridge in the Sky' was constructed by connecting two bog mountains when constructing the Badulla – Colombo railway. The surrounding area has seen a steady increase in tourism due to the bridge's architectural ingenuity and the profuse greenery in the nearby hillsides. It is one of the best examples of colonial-era railway construction in the country. The construction of the bridge is generally attributed to a local Ceylonese builder, P. K. Appuhami , in consultation with British engineers. This is a great creation that can still be seen in Sri Lanka today.

Winter Season

Image
Of the four seasons, winter, spring, summer and Monsoon is one of our favorite seasons. December and January belong to the winter months. Winter is very cold and chilly season. The wind becomes soft and cool. Many people like adventure trekking and picnic in winter. Apart from fruits, many great fresh vegetables like reddish carrot, onion turnip etc grow in winter. Due to heavy rain and snowfall the routine life gets disturbed. But it does not snow in Sri Lanka. Because of the snow the normal life like schools, offices, business etc become impacted. Everyone loves the winter season.

Polythene is used usefully

Image
Nowadays with the busy schedule many people are turning to the use of polythene here you can see the use of polythene rather than local stuff and it is easy to use. The primary uses of polyethylene are in packaging film, garbage bags, grocery bags, insulation for wires and cables, agricultural mulch, bottles, toys, and houseware. Polythene is also used in trays, fruit juice containers, milk containers, crates, and food packaging products. Lots of polythene here many people today do not dispose of polythene properly, which has led to environmental degradation.

Yapahuwa

Image
The capital kingdoms of Sri Lanka gradually migrated to the southwest due to the invasions and natural disasters. Yapahuwa Fort was the fourth stop on that transition. Located about 4 km northwest of Mahawa Junction in the Mahawa Divisional Secretariat Division in the Kurunegala District, Yapahuwa is an ancient rock town located in the island which was the capital of the island for a short period of about 13 centuries.                          This ancient site has been inhabited since time immemorial as a testament to its use as an important fortress in the face of constant foreign invasions after the reign of the Polonnaruwa Kingdom. Yapahuwa and its suburbs were important settlements with prehistoric settlements during the prehistoric and early prehistoric periods. Archaeological evidence suggests that t...
